Today in class Mr. Schick began talking about a class project that we all will be participating in. We are accumulating a class 'textbook.' What he means by this is that we are getting into small groups, and each of us is writing about a section of Ancient Greece living. There are five different sections, so there are five different groups. My group, of which consists of Kelsie, Anna, and Jillian, are doing the culture, lifestyle, jobs and geography. Our group has decided to break these parts up and divide it into different sections. We want to make our section fun to read, and not like an essay. We want to include pictures and colors to intrigue our readers about ancient Greece, but especially on our part of this project.

In class today we finished up with the rest of the world leaders and their background stories. First, we finished Syria. We learned that Bashar al-Assad does not like his own people and he has ordered a plethora of crackdowns and military sieges on protestors. What started this for him was that his brother was killed in a car crash, and Bashar's brother was supposed to take their father's reign not Bashar. Next we went more in depth with Canada and their Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. They have a federal parliamentary democracy, and constitutional monarchy. World Leaders information

Today in class we went into greater detail about all the world leaders that we had to research and create a powerpoint about. Mr. Schick was presenting his powerpoint, which had more information than ours did. His went into greater detail about the leader and their back story. First we started with Mexico. Their leader is President Enrique Pena Nieto, and they have a federal presidential republic. His approval ratings are very low and he is suspected to have killed his wife, but gets away with it. Next was China. Their leader is Xi Jinping, and they have a communist type of government. He is married to a folk singer, and he is the son of the founding fathers of the Communist party. Today in class, Val took her test, so of course for the rest of us its notes day...Yay my favorite, sike...Anyways, I only got through the first section but that is still 2 and a half pages of notes for me!
