start of the outline
Today in class, we started to make an outline for our test coming up on Tuesday. This is what we have so far:

Outline for Ancient Greece
Alexander’s Empire:
Philip builds Macedonia Empire:
· Philip
is Alexander’s dad and King of Macedonia
· King
of Macedonia who invaded Greece and won!
· He
was going to conquer Persia
o He
died at his daughter’s wedding (he was stabbed to death by a guardsmen)
Alexander names himself
King at 20 years old
· Alexander
defeats Persia with Darius the Third was ruling
· Alexander
was tutored by Aristotle who taught him all his knowledge and relied on the
Iliad
· Alexander
vs. Darius
o Alexander
is outnumbered by Darius’ army but wins anyways
· Alexander
was crowned Pharaoh in 332 BC because the Egyptians thought of him as a God
· Alexander’s
army moves East to Mesopotamia, and Darius’ army outnumbered him again with a
huge army, this was the Battle at Gaugamela.
o Alexander
and his army used a phalanx, and won this Battle, again.
· Alexander
then continues East to Persepolis, and destroyed and it. They took money and
gold.

· Now
reigned as unchallenged ruler of South Asia.
· 326
BC Hydaspes River, defeats India.
· Been
fighting for 11 years and marched 11,000 miles, so they decided to finally go
home.
· In
323 BC, Alexander’s army reached Babylon, and he stayed there.
· Alexander
died at 32 years old, and never carried out full plans of his life. We really don’t
really know how he died, possibly a fever?
